Priority table
Best Stats to Prioritize
Read the table from your failure point. A boss timeout, a crowd collapse and a weak farming run need different stats.
| Stat | Best use | Prioritize when | Be careful when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Damage | Broad kill power for most weapons. | You lack boss damage or enemies survive too long. | You already one-shot weak enemies but cannot fire often enough. |
| Attack Speed | More hits, more uptime and smoother clearing. | Your weapons feel slow or boss pressure drops between shots. | The weapon has a strict cooldown, charge time or low scaling from speed. |
| Range | Safer spacing and better coverage. | You get crowded, miss enemies at the edge or need safer boss control. | You already hit the full danger zone and need damage instead. |
| Crit Chance / Crit Damage | High scaling after a build has stable base damage. | Your main weapon is developed and attacks often enough to benefit. | Your account still lacks base Damage, Attack Speed or survivability. |
| Move Speed | Dodging, kiting, positioning and map control. | You die to terrain traps, boss patterns or repeated contact hits. | You are safe but fail the damage check. |
| HP / Defense | Extra mistake room and contact-hit survival. | You die from unavoidable chip damage or one bad boss pattern. | You are choosing defense because the build cannot kill fast enough. |
| Pickup Range | Faster leveling and less risky XP collection. | The run is stable and you are farming or scaling a long map. | You are pushing a hard stage and still need core combat stats. |
| Luck / Gold / Reward Stats | Farming and account growth once the clear is consistent. | You can already clear safely and want better rewards. | A boss, elite or dense wave is still stopping progress. |
Build the Core First
Damage and Attack Speed usually create the cleanest foundation because they help many weapons, heroes and maps.
Fix the Actual Death
If you die trapped, add Range, Move Speed or defense. If the boss survives, add focused damage instead.
Add Economy Late
Pickup Range, Luck and Gold shine after the run is repeatable. They are weak emergency stats during a hard progression wall.
Build matching
Match Stats to Weapon and Hero Roles
A stat is stronger when it reinforces what the build already does. Do not chase a stat just because it looks rare.
Crowd-clear weapons
Often want Damage, Attack Speed and Range so the screen thins out before enemies touch you. See Best Weapons.
Boss-focused weapons
Need enough base Damage first, then Crit or focused scaling if the weapon hits often enough. See Weapon Combos.
Safe farming builds
Can carry Pickup Range, Luck or Gold after survival is solved. See Best Builds.
Keeper gear
Choose gear stats that support your main route before spending enhancement materials. See Best Gear Set.
Common Stat Mistakes
Taking Crit too early
Crit cannot save a build that lacks base damage, attack rate or weapon uptime.
Farming stats during a push
Luck, Gold and Pickup Range are attractive, but they should not replace the stat needed to clear the stage.
Stacking one stat only
Too much of one number can leave another bottleneck untouched. Balance kill speed, coverage and survival.
Ignoring the map
Open maps, cramped paths and boss-heavy stages change the value of Range, Move Speed and defense.
Stats FAQ
What stat should I upgrade first?
For most App accounts, start with Damage and Attack Speed because they help many heroes and weapons. Then add Range, Move Speed or defense when a specific map problem appears.
Is Luck worth it in Monster Survivors?
Luck is worth considering when your run is already safe and you are farming. It is usually a lower priority while you are stuck on a boss or dense wave.
Should I choose HP or Damage?
Choose HP or Defense if you die from unavoidable hits. Choose Damage if you survive long enough but cannot clear enemies or bosses before the run collapses.
Do stats change between the App and browser game?
Yes. This page is for the Monster Survivors App. The browser version on the Play Online page is separate and should not be used as the source for App upgrade decisions.
