In FreezeNova's Monster Survivors, Arcanix continuously ranks at the absolute zenith of the Tier List. Unlike characters that rely purely on raw physical damage, Arcanix is designed to completely shut down the enemy's ability to approach her. She is built for players who want to comfortably reach Wave 20 and beyond.
The Level 5 Slow Aura
Arcanix's most overpowered asset is her passive ability unlocked at Level 5: The Slow Aura. This projects a permanent, invisible ring around her. Any enemy that steps inside this ring suffers a massive movement speed penalty. This trivializes fast-moving enemies (like late-game Goblins or enraged Bosses) that would otherwise easily run down other heroes.
Exclusive Weapon: The High-Frequency Wand
Her signature weapon, the Wand, fires magical projectiles. While its base damage might seem modest in Wave 1, it possesses the highest natural scaling for firing frequency. By mid-game, it becomes an automated machine gun, perfectly suppressing any slowed enemies trapped within her aura.
Best Arcanix Builds (Synergies)
To play Arcanix optimally, you must build around "Zone Control." You don't need to chase enemies; you simply need to create a kill-zone around yourself that nothing can survive walking through.
The "Untouchable" Zone Control Build
A build that stacks multiple forms of crowd control to make you literally untouchable.
- Primary Synergies: Keep your starting Wand and immediately seek out the Frostbite (Ice Dagger). The hard-freeze from the Frostbite combined with your innate Slow Aura means enemies will essentially stand completely still.
- The Finisher: With the map immobilized, acquire the Plasma Gun. It will effortlessly melt the clustered, frozen mobs with massive Area of Effect (AoE) bursts.
- Defensive Layer: If you are struggling with spatial awareness, add the Axe. It will swirl within your Slow Aura, acting as a meat-grinder for anything that gets too close.
Recommended Passive Upgrades
The most critical upgrade for the Wand. Increasing how fast your wand spits out projectiles is more important than raw damage.
Even though you slow enemies, having a high personal movement speed makes you the absolute master of kiting.
